Care Funding & Elderly Client Issues
We can advise on eligibility for Local Authority Funding for residential and domiciliary care and reviewing and/or challenging Local Authority funding decisions.
We can also advise on seeking to protect your assets from residential care charges, for example through gifts, the creation of trusts or disregarded assets. It is always crucial to consider the anti-avoidance and enforcement provisions available to the local authority in these cases.
We can also advise on the community care responsibilities of the local authority.
We can further advise on eligibility for NHS funding for health care and assist in reviewing and/or challenging NHS funding decisions.
Any advice and/or assistance in this area will be charged at an hourly charging rate of £130 plus Vat, with a quote or fee estimate being confirmed once it becomes possible to estimate the volume of work involved.
This excludes any disbursements (i.e. payments to others required to progress the matter), which you will be advised of separately at the earliest available opportunity.
